Modification: Rear View Camera

The power cable I am referring to is an official Garmin Virb power cable (Garmin 010-12256-59) that was run to one of the fuse boxes before the two halves of the boat were put together and comes out at the upper, starboard corner of the cabin (near the speaker). The next best option would be to put the portable battery up on that shelf.

The orientation of the camera is correct....if you and the camera are pointing in the same direction. The reverse image comes from the camera pointing one way and you (and the nav screen) pointing the opposite direction. One thing I haven't looked into yet is if I can reverse the image at the Nav screen. I'll have to look at that the next time I'm at the boat.

Brian:

Thanks for the Garmin part number for the Rugged power line. That line seems to have an inline fuse and some kind of voltage regulator. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/543204#devices

That power cable could easily be run and hidden behind the ceiling teak/wood strip down to the light fixture mid way on port side. Just tapping into the always powered +ive/-ive wires leading to the light should do the trick I think.
