I have added more modifications/ changes to my album, including a 9 1/2 ft dinghy and crane system, window gutter and drain modifications, window splash deflectors, etc. if you are interested they are under "Popeye".

Very interested in the crane. What make and model, and where can I get one.

The boom and winch mount came from Atkins and Hoyle Toronto, ON. It was originally a 300 lb capacity crane. I originally installed it at the transom to carry a motorcycle. Turned out to not be very practical. I used the boom and winch and made my own vertical support. I derated it to 100 pounds capacity. The crane system was expensive and shipping was expensive. I would be temped to build my own next time.

I really like the mods that you are doing to your tug 😀

Some interesting mods you've done on her. Thanks for sharing.

The hangers on back of cabin for foul weather gear is one of the first things we did. Keeping wet gear out of the cabin as much as possible really helps control moisture. Every commercial boat I ever worked on had a similar arrangement.

I'm also interested in some sort of davit system for setting kayaks/inflatables on the roof. Don't need near the load capacity as yours. But even a 50lb boat can be a bear to get up there at my age and/or with just a bit of a breeze. A davit would sure be nice.

One of my biggest headaches is that bloody mast. It's a pain to raise/lower during launch plus the stays are in the way for carrying kayaks etc on the roof. Yet it remains unresolved on our boat. Priorities...
