Thanks Barry. I wish we (my boat) were down in Texas helping the "Cajun Navy" with all the rescues. As you know, with only a two foot draft, we can get into some pretty tight places.

Not sure I would want to go into flooded area with a ranger. You never know what is below. I would feel better with an alu flat bottom boat and outboard or some jet drive perhaps. If rescue others you don't want to end up becoming the rescuer and the ranger is not a cheap boat to scratch up or get punctured on submerged obstacles

It just hurts to watch and not be there for my Texas friends to lend a hand. I am surprised at not seeing more jet skis performing rescues. Saw a photo of a jet ski parked right in the front doorway of a home. Now there is mobility.
