Mount Bracket for dinghy motor

Have you found that bracket yet for dinghy motor ?
It’s been a runaround- been working with Fluid Motion Parts and found out that 3 different suppliers make up the part and they are wholesalers. The tube supplier has a patent on its product which is supplied to the factory, and they are located in BC. They would make an exception and have the tube shipped to me. Problem is that the price is exorbitant for just one (which doesn’t make sense, just add one to production line), then costs added for customs and shipping fees and I’m in FL, and very long wait time.. they suggest ordering the boat with that bracket. Just contacted Fluid Motion Parts and dropped that idea. Thought of finding a local tube supplier with no luck as yet. The base I can get on line. I now going to find different approach in transporting the small dingui motor. Quite frustrating..

I am here in Fort Myers, FL. Bought my 2024 R27 in December 2025 in Michigan, the boat is still up there, didn't want to mess with it over the winter. We have a summer home in Indiana, will get boat in April. Just picked up a Float ON Trailer yesterday in Vero Beach.

Keep me posted on what you come up with on that dinghy motor bracket, I have some good friends in machine shops in Indiana, I may just have one made.

Also, what do you have for dinghy storage on the boat> Im thinking of building something to store over the cockpit??

Right now, nothing special, roll it up & store it in the center lazaret , but thinking of storing it above the cockpit cover. Thinking of the Takacat 260 or the West Marine PRU3, which weighs around 55 lbs. I’ve seen videos of other R27 owners doing this.
Let you know later on the bracket. I believe I would only need someone to bend 1” stainless tubes, the other components should be available @ Amazon..

An exhaust/muffler shop should be able to bend that pipe for you or a commercial electrician who runs a lot of conduit.

I just bought a Highfield UL260 with 17” Hypalon tubes from a friend who has an inflatable shop in Clearwater. He talked me out of a roll up. We like to explore. He said that the roll ups were good for just short distances to and from. Weighs about 72#. He also convinced me the resell is really good with the Hypalon tubes and the PVC won’t last but a few years. Going to design something above the canvas top above the cockpit to store it. A small davit crane may work?? Still planning.
