Would love to know where owners have mounted two fire extinguishers. We can't seem to find just the right place and would appreciate hearing recommendations.

On my R25SC I mounted one in the cave on the aft bulkhead. It's mounted such that it's out of the way and yet easily accessible. I mounted the second one clear forward, in the V-berth on the flat panel on the aft side of the anchor chain locker. Again, accessible and yet out of the way, plus I now have one close by at either end of the cabin.

I mounted three in our R27. One in the V-berth, one in the galley, and one at the rear of the cabin. As Larry said it is a good idea to have them in multiple locations, near exits is good so you can get them on the way out.
I purchased metal brackets to mount them securely, the plastic brackets that came with them were weak.

I mounted my extinguishers forward in the closet behind the door on the hinge side (by the berth) and put a decal "Fire Ext" on the outside so it is very visible. In the main cabin, I mounted it inside the door to the lower birth on the aft side and again put a label "Fire Ext" visible from the main cabin. My thinking is that if I have a fire in the galley I have instant access to the fire extinguisher and if I have a fire in the main cabin I can protect us while we are in the forward berth. If this is not clear, let me know I will send a picture.

I mounted mine in the forward berth by the tv and in the opening to the cave on the port side wall. They are readily available both fore and aft yet out of the way.
