Mounting side view mirrors

I purchased a set (2) of side view mirrors designed for golf carts which I think will work on my new 2015 R-27. They have a small bracket which needs to be mounted on each side of the boat in front of the side window. Question: can I drill a hole through the window frame without damaging any thing? Thanks!

You can, but be sure to use sealant in the hole and it is in the flange area and not in too far in so as to interfere with the track. A short screw, like 1/2 inch the longest. However you may want to consider a railing mount. It won't be as permanent and less likely to get in the way when walking around outside.

The mirrors are 7"x 7". I considered the rail mounting but my feeling is that location is more likely to get damaged when docking and due to their size more likely to be in the way when walking on side deck. I will mount mirrors at the top of the window flange which will be more out of the way. Also, they can be folded if needed. Thanks for your reply!

Ok, this is my 1st attempt at this, be gentle! Mirrors installed with no problems. I decided to thru bolt them using the ss bolts and lock nuts supplied. Pics show outside views and inside view shows bolts location. One pic shows how mirror can easily be folded flat out of the way when going forward on deck. I got them on Amazon/Memphis Golf for $19.99. They are plastic but they should last a while. Also they are flat not convex which is what I wanted.

Nice job. Can they swing forward so as to not block part of the helmsperson's view of the "danger quadrant"? Has anybody mounted mirrors on the "eyebrows" above the windows so they could swing up and disappear when not needed?

As stated, I found them on Anazon.com with shipper as Memphis Golf cart.

One other tip: the mounting brackets are different. I switched the starboard bracket to the port. Doing so allows you to adjust the mirror down further instead of up.

They will fold forward or backward. Either way I don't see them as blocking the helm person's view. Don't think they could be mounted on the "eyebrows".
