Subject: My new Dickinson's Spitfire BBQ and Cockpit carpet
Today on my new R29 CB I spent some time installing a special Dickinson rail support for my Dickinson's Spitfire BBQ and it looks very spiffy indeed. The BBQ slides onto the rail attachments horizontal plate via an H-bracket attached to the underside of the Spitfire BBQ (supplied by Dickinson). It makes for an easy on/off process and the BBQ is secured with a strong spring clip on the backside to avoid any mistake in it possibly sliding back off from the fixed H-bracket.

The rail attached composite pad allow for the BBQ to be rotated some amount to help with side winds/breezes etc.
The intent is for this BBQ to be removed from the rail mount when not in use. Allow for it to cool and then cover it with a fitted black cover that came with the Spitfire and stowed in my port side cockpit locker. The cockpit has the RT's optional carpet and it's easy to flip up and roll the carpet off the port side locker so that the BBQ can be stowed into the opened locker with ease.
I'm very happy 😀 😀 with this BBQ and its storable feature in the cockpit locker (fits there perfectly along with two spare full sized fenders). The Dickinson rail BBQ attachment is very well made, very sturdy and rustproof along with its SS bolts, washers, lock washers, nuts and the square composite rail pads.
