Mystery Fuel Filter

I found a new in the package Yanmar in-line fuel filter on my recently purchased R29. Part number 120650-55040. Can’t seem to find one installed. Wondering if anyone else has one installed. Should be compatible with 4BY and 6BY Yanmars. Don’t think the boats came from the factory with an in-line fuel filter, just the Racor and engine mounted filters.

This looks like an old style secondary (3 micron) fuel filter. The filter was mounted horizontally on the port side of the engine, just above the fuel supply pump (look near the ECM enclosure.)

Agreed, They use to use a horizontal secondary and switched over to the upright mounted to the rear of the engine.
