I just took possession of a 2021 R-31CB, and am still finding details I didn't know about (and can't find in manuals). The anchor light seems to always be on, even with the rocker switch in the center position, am I missing someting? Also, the underwater lights are on, and I can't find any description of a switch to turn them off. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Hi, I bought a 2019 R-31 S in March and was equally baffled by the many systems despite over 50 years of owning a boat. I have a switch, outside in the cockpit a few inches below the outside sink that controls the underwater lights. I have a label maker, and began making temporary labels until it becomes second nature. Anchor lights - I had a similar issue with wipers. Sometimes they work and sometimes not. I found the wires to the switches had poor contact. I opened the access panel and pushed them all securely. All the wipers work properly now.

Different boat, but on my R25, the underwater lights are on a switch in the cockpit on the rear starboard area.

Congrats on the R31CB!

We have had ours two years and continue to learn different details.

Regarding the anchor light, make sure the switch on the bridge is not on.

The underwater lights are as stated controlled by a switch in the cockpit under the sink.

If you have any other questions feel free to send me a DM.

Regards,
Keith

OdyseaII, you are my savior on the anchor light! Some visitor punched the button (maybe my agent, not sure),but putting the bridge switch to OFF has exorcised my demons. Thanks!

I am a new R 31 cb owner.
Anchor light is always on.
Bridge toggle switch is off,
Salon station switch is off too.

Both toggles show the orange “on” switch as well.
Was hoping there was a clearly marked circuit breaker… there isn’t.
The nice marina people tell me every day “you left your anchor light on”

Thx for any advice.

Make sure the NAV/ANCHOR rocker on the CB and at the helm are BOTH in the center position. That's between ANC (top pressed in) and BOTH (bottom pressed in). The deck lights have a similar switch, with red lights one way, white lights the other, and off in the middle. Either of the ANC switches will leave the light on, with must be off.

Thank you fm, will try it when the sun goes down and I can see the light.
Appreciate it

You are correct fmickey, the center position, both rockers in a straight up and down config= off. Many thanks.
