On an earlier post I whined about Garmin's Bluechart app, which led me to start up a discussion with Bill Zissimopoulos, the developer of the Navimatics app. Lo and behold, a few days ago I was invited to beta test a new version of Navimatics for the Mac that has many of the features I wanted. Only to find that anyone can beta test this app by going to this site:

Here's the catch. It is only for a Mac, and you need to update your system to Mountain Lion (10.8) to run it (a requirement of beta testing software).
Bill says they are working on bringing this version to the iPad. He has been very responsive to questions and comments. It's a nice program. Since Tugnuts members do such a good job of testing this stuff, I told him I would pass this along.
