We have had our RT29CB for 2-1/2 yrs. It's time for bottom paint. We looked into CSR in Des Moines and noticed they have a yard in Ballard. And have heard about a facility in Shilshole. Any recommendations on paint yards?

I have used them in the past . They did excellent work.

The Ranger Tug Factory used Everett Yacht Service (at the Port of Everett Marina) for bottom painting my new R31.

Phone number is 425.212.9923.

We used BUM (Bottoms Up Marina) in Port Townsend for our R27 a few years ago and they did a great job. We stayed on the boat in the yard, making things convenient as we were cruising in the PNW at the time.

just this week I have had la conner maritime do my bottom paint. they take care of a bunch of tugs and nordics. so far the works looks excellent, the team has been great to work with and prices are good.

I had the hull polished at the same time. this 2012 looks great!!

if you want a bellingham location - then use bellingham yachts who are the dealer up there.

the guy now running the paint division - Mark used to work at Cutwater a few years back and he knows the boats well.

I should add that lots of my sailboat friends use CSR marine in ballard. good reputation.

CSR is a good outfit. When I needed to get my bottom paint re-done, I took it to Latitude Marine in La Conner. They did a nice job, perhaps a better price than some Seattle yards, and were priced the same as La Conner Marine.

Aculverwell,

Did Everett Yacht Service haul your boat from the water using a travel lift or did you trailer your boat to them. The reason I'm asking is we don't have a trailer and am interested in finding boat yards who could haul out our boat if and when the time comes to bottom paint our R-23.

Thanks in advance.

We recently used Everett Yacht Services for my R31. We are very happy with the results. We used the Port of Everett Travel Lift service - they pressure washed the bottom and then set it on blocks in front of the Everett Yacht Services Shop.

Wow EdandJeanne, thanks for the very quick response. Much appreciated. I'm trying to avoid bottom painting and keep the boat dry stored but we may decide to wet moor one day. Time will tell.

Has anyone used Yachtfish in Port Orchard for hauling and bottom paint?
