need to remove the mast 2011 R27

I need to have the mast shortened and will have to remove it to take it to a shop to get this done. Are there any good threads that discuss what it entails? I understand that there are wires that run down it. I'm unsure how hard it will be to figure out how to unhook everything.

Going by memory here. I am pretty sure there is a plug on the roof for the electrical items. Then the coax cables should be able to be pulled out once disconnected.
