Need to repower Cutwater 26

Hi folks. I have a 2016 Cutwater 26 with a D3 220 with 400hrs on it. The timing belt went and pretty sure the engine is toast. Anyone have experience reposing with a Yanmar 260 6BY3 or a Volvo D4? I am trying to stay away from the d3 220, as it’s a piece of garbage. It maybe inevitable repowering with the d3 220 because of space restriction. Although the yanmar is only 2” longer, same width, and lower profile.
