Luna Blue hasn't been born yet (delivery next week), but the blues were getting her down. She'd rather be more upbeat. So she requested a change of name to ENDORPHIN, the way to a natural high.
BobnDoc agree that she can have whatever name she wants.

Pick the name that suits you. Have a boat naming ceremony and party to christen her to enjoy years and years of boating pleasure.

Cheers!

This question sent my mind wandering and for that I apologize in advance.

I thought of the situation as being rather like naming a child. You have to think about the variants of a name that can be conjured up by very young classmates who can be delightful, innocent and yet totally fiendish. They will think of something that can be used to mercilessly torture the bearer of the name. The same could be true of a boat. Think about what it sounds like on the radio when you're pulling into a marina. "Lunar Blue" has something are very romantic, cool, celestial even "60s" ring to it. You sound like nice people who need the perfect slip in which to spend the night. "Endorphin" might give the impression that you are more of a Fountain or Formula skipper, or at least a wannabe at heart.

As I said, I apologize for my wandering mind. 😉

We've let the last couple boats tell us what name best suits them. It's perfectly OK to take the boat out a time or twelve before you commit. Good luck with the decisions.

I always like to pick a boat name that has one syllable, easy to recall, easy to speak/pronounce and easy to yell out when calling for help. Safety first is my motto for naming a boat.

Regardless, I let my wife pick Laxey for our boats. 😉 (for safety that is 😉 😉 😉 )
