Fake.

Just got my 2015 29CB (Hull #1) back from Kevin VanderHeyven of Premier Custom Ceramic Coating. It looks brand new. Expensive cosmetic surgery, but worth the investment.

Despite a lot of $ over the years trying to keep that dark blue hull going, traditional approaches failed every time, often within a week or two. I am assured by many that this will stop the fading as long as I stick with the ceramic coating, which is very easy to do.

Had I coated the boat when I got it I would have saved a lot of $ and frustration. Hint: don't procrastinate (you know we all fall for the "I'll take care of it next" problem).

Our Ranger Tugs are distinctive because they are so very good looking. I highly recommend a ceramic coat for your new or well-used boat.

Roughly how much does ceramic coating cost for a R29S 2017? Is it just the hull or is it all fiberglass on top side too?

Jeff, you had me going on that one! I saw the title and the name and said “What?????” Congrats on the successfully — highly successful! — ceramic coating!!

When are you going to do that Columbia River trip and show it off to those of us in this neck of the woods?

The pricing is generally boat specific. Topsides are included, including stainless. it's literally the whole boat! You should contact Kevin for a more specific price quote for your boat.

Thanks Gini. One of these days we will get to the Columbia. Off to the Broughtons this summer, though.

I recommend that folks in the PNW get hold of Kevin directly for a price. Each boat is different. Mine had special challenges with a very faded port side. Worth the investment though.
