Last year I along with some of the other boaters on our lake formed a new boating organization. The organization is the US Freshwater Boaters Alliance or USFBA.

Like many other boating groups our focus is on boating safety but we are concentrating on interior lakes and waterways. Our members must have completed a basic boating class, have their vessels examined for safety every year, and carry a marine band radio on board. The radio is then used to participate in a virual radio network when on the lake to report boats in distress, etc.

The reason for this post though is to share our emblem which you may find familiar.

Here it is, just click on it for a larger image.

Notice anything familiar? Our website is http://www.USFreshwaterBoatersAlliance.com.

Jeff, you should have added the C-Dory swoosh just under the sheer. That would really confuse em

Hey Denny,

Take a close look at the banner of the lighthouse on the home page and see if you recognize the boat docked there or watch the video on the members deck. You might be on to something! 😎

I made the first post to this thread in April. since then our organization has come a long way. We've been on the local news a few times and yesterday they did a piece on us in conjunction with the holiday weekend on the lake. But take a look and see if you recognize the vessel in the story. Ahhhhh those Ranger tugs can do anything! Here's the link to the story: http://www.hometownstations.com/story/2 ... atrol-glsm.

Our website is http://www.USFreshwaterBoatersAlliance.com. If you live on a interior lake, let me know if you'd be interested in starting a chapter in your area.
