I have not been happy with the stock Groco Strainers that came with our 2022 R-31, I have replaced them with the Groco bronze ARC strainers with top access for cleaning.
The Bronze Groco ARG stariners are a major improvement on the Groco WSB series plastic strainers, top access, easy to clean and winterize. Last summer in the dismal swamp, we ran through some duck weed, and the plastic strainers jammed up. Trying to remove the strainer to clean was a major PIA. The new strainers are top access and simple to remove the basket to clean. Additionally, winterizing the tug will be simpler, the threads on the ARG are 1.5" NPT, I can screw in a PVC fitting with 4' of PVC and fill it with anti-freeze and pump away.
