My wife and I ordered our 2018 R29S last November after looking at a number of boats and options. We are taking a trip to the factory next week to view the build process (feels like a lifetime). Delivery will be in Florida the end of March at the dealer. We plan to spend some time on the gulf coast getting our bearings and testing the systems prior to having it shipped to its home in Little River SC.

Just want to thank everyone for the educational guidance provided in this forum over the last four months. I have reviewed your posts regularly in anticipation of getting my hands on our new boat. The issues identified, resolutions offered, friendship extended, and at times levity, supports the fact that my wife and I made a great decision. Thanks to all you tug- nutters for the insight and education.

Hope to see some of you on water.

You made a great decision going with a Ranger Tug!! We are all excited for you too!

We would love to drive her home, unfortunately my wife and I still have a couple more years working for the man. We are however going to enjoy every free minute. I certainly look forward to this summer getting to know the Carolina coastline and inlets.

Had my slip-mates at the Marina, where we kept our previous boat offer to drive her home for me....most of them are retired and love to rub it in...

We need to petition for a canal from Puget Sound to Savannah... I am certain we have the collective Political clout...

Another new owner getting Antsy.
I put in the order for my RT-27OB last July for April 2018 delivery. I was told 8 days ago that Ranger would be shipping the boat out to my dealer on 2-March. 🙂 4 days ago I was told that the production start date should be about 20-March!!?? 🙁 My dealer is still sorting out that discrepancy. It is just getting harder and harder to wait as the time gets closer.

Congratulations on the new boat...Wow, I thought I was waiting a long time. Still a bit chilly up in the NE, but I bet it would not prevent you to taking the new boat out. Hope it is sooner rather than later.

After I get the boat, it will be going out as soon as the ice is off the boat ramps. Which with the unusually warm weather we are having, the ice could be gone next week.

Just a quick thanks to Bob at the R-29, R-31 factory and Andrew for arranging for a visit. The process, professionalism, attention to detail was further proof of our decision to go Ranger Tug. Having the opportunity to see and photograph the production of our new boat (just happened to be in production) was a bonus. The realization of the Ranger team in action, taking 1000's of parts, numerous subsystems, and making them work as one was enlightening.... even for the seasoned mariner.

Thank you Bob, Andrew, the hospitality and time was appreciated!

There's simply no end to the applause for RT's friendly and professional service that they've provided over many years. They just get better and better based on all the postings from new RT owners....

I was down at my slip yesterday where I have a CW-28 opposite me (owned by a couple from Sweden) and the CW-28 was being professional washed/cleaned by a local shop. The cleaning chap came over to my R-27/OB and was gawking at it thinking it was a R-31 (well a 31 foot boat) as the R-27/OB does look big especially with my new full cockpit enclosure recently installed, and of course it's close to being 32 feet stem to backside of the OB engine. He said, the RT was his boat of choice and as soon as he won the lottery would be talking with Andrew....
