Just settled on a R21 EC. Can't wait to use her this spring on the finger lakes upstate NY.
Thanks to all on this site, great resource for Tugnuts!

Congratulation, I am sure that you will love your tug. 3 more months and the boat will be in the water...

I also am a new R21 owner and live in Central New York on the Erie Canal. I purchased a new 2016 from Moose Landing Marina in Maine. They are supposed to deliver the boat this week so to say the least I am pretty excited. I am curious where you bought your boat. As you know there are no dealers in this area so I was always at a loss as how to acquire one. I ended up calling the Ranger factory where Andrew Custis recommended the Moose Landing marina. This forum has been a great resource in helping me make the decision to buy the boat.

Great choice.... You will enjoy it for sure. 🙂

Bought mine from Pocket Yachts in MD. Trailered her to Keuka lake in late April. Now has logged 8 hours of "wine cruises" .perhaps have burned maybe 4 gallons of diesel!

Family loves the boat, perfect for our intended use. Lots of looks and question about the boat.

Thanks for the reply, we have to do some work to acquire one in our area. My boat was delivered last week and I've gone out a couple of times to try and get used to it. The weather has been horrible in our area so I am looking forward to some good weather to enjoy the boat. It certainly does elicit comments, the fella that trailered the boat said that a lot of people commented and even took pictures of the boat at his rest stops.

Once we get past today, weather is suppose to be much better for the next week or more, hopefully you will have some time to enjoy your new boat. Most everybody I have told that I am looking at a Ranger Tug, they don't seem to have a clue what I am talking about. They think of the Ranger fishing boats, once I show them a picture... they get very interested. What color did you get?

I got the midnight blue. You are right in that not many people no about the Tugs in our area. I have a lot to learn as I have only owned a 16' open fishing boat. I learned about the tugs a couple of years ago but never thought I would get one. As I said before this forum was really helpful in making the decision.
