June 19th we became the proud new owners of an R-25 tug. The Laurie Ann is slowly morphing into its new name, EVOLVE. This is a reflection of what our life and plans have done over the last few months as we have entered retirement and decided to join the group of Ranger Tug owners. We would like to think that we will continue the Laurie Ann's spirit of adventure and that Every Voyage will Offer Laughter and Vigor-less (after all we did retire) Exploration. We wish John and Laurie continued fun and adventure on their new boat, Andiamo. They were so generous with their time and knowledge as we got to know our new boat. Thanks also to Rich and Cheryl from R.O.A.M for taking us out on a ride and heading us in the right direction; and to Jim and Lisa Favors (Kismet) for pointing us to Rich and Cheryl... It truly is a network!
Just as soon as we figure out how to make EVOLVE go in the right direction, we plan to increase the Ranger Armada in the Great Lakes by one and continue its travels in the fresh waters around Michigan.

Congratulations on your new boat!

You already have great connections with other Tugnuts and this is a great group! I am totally confident you have a very well-cared for boat from very experienced boaters Laurie and John.

Best wishes as you venture out and about on Evolve 😀

Tom & Pam: Congratulations. You have a fine R-25 boat to be sure. I looked at this boat at Fisherman's Terminal in late may when we had a gathering there. It was in excellent shape and I know it was well care for by Laurie and John.

Welcome to TugNuts. 🙂

Congratulations Tom and Pam, we're happy to have you add another Ranger Tug to the growing Michigan fleet. I just knew when we spoke a couple of months ago that you'd end up owning a Ranger Tug. Will you be in boating in Washington this summer? Lisa and I leave for the PNW in 2 short weeks and we'd sure like to meet you face to face. If not in Washington we'll certainly plan on some cruising get togethers in Michigan next summer.

Keep in touch,

Hello to all , Marion and I have jump on board the Ranger Tug armada . We our the owners of a new R27 thanks to Andrew and Jeff , but most of all to our friends Gregg & Kathy Dohrer who have helped us so much in our mad dash to get the R27 ( no name yet) and to prepare for the up coming Desolation cruise in July .
We both have some boating experience but it has been MANY yeas ago , so we are open and wanting any advice and suggestions any one might have for us non-salts.
We hope to meet many of you on the cruse and times yet to come 😀
Mark and Marion .

M&M, welcome aboard.
Hmmm,' No Name Yet' has a certain cachet to it.
I bet it will be the only boat in the country with that name.

aaaargh, the fingers did the walking and I didn't deliver the punch line.

Anyway, there was a guy who registered a vanity plate for his new Corvette - NO PLATE
Well shortly after that he began to get dozens and then hundreds of traffic tickets in the mail because when officers had a car impounded that did not have a plate they would put on the traffic citation in the box where the vehicle's plate number went (you guessed it) NO PLATE and now he was the registered owner of that plate
