walldog aka capt herb,
Really enjoyed your photos. When I first saw your trailer (and boat), I was confused; it looked exactly like my rig. I was pretty sure my Float On was the first one for the R-21EC and I couldn't figure out why you had it. Then I looked at your photo data and saw you were there in May. When I purchased my R-21 EC from Marc at the Altanta Boat Show in Jan., he had one of his other boats on an alum Float On. I made it a condition of sale that Marc would have them make me an alum trailer with the uprights.
My wife and I went down to Applachicola in late March, or early April to swap out trailers. I'd been using his trailer. We really like that area and have been there several times.
A note: Watch the front edges of the two front bunks and the front edge of the port bunk close to the sea water pickup.
I had damage in both of those areas launching and retrieving the boat. I cut the front edges of the two forward bunks at a 45 degree angle and re-covered them. Then I cut off about six inches of the port side bunk to clear that sea water fitting and beveled the edge 45 degrees and re-covered it.
I told Marc, but it may have been after you bought your tug. If you'd like photos of what I did, let me know.
Possibily, the damage was a result of the angle of my launch ramp.
Happy motoring and thanks,
Gene
