WE HAVE DONE IT! We moved up from :!: our R-25 to the R-29! We are tentatuively scheduled to take delivery on June 26th. The new boat will have the same name, OPTIMIST. We are excited!

Major congrats...I assume that whomever gets your 25 will be getting something that is barely broken in...🙂

Wow Denny!

That is really great!

Do we get a tour next time we are in Port Ludlow?
Can't wait to see her!

Very Jealous! Thankfully the boathouse is too small or Michelle would have us there with you!!!

Look forward to seeing you and Optimist on the water!

I'm envious.

I love my R-21 EC for running around on the lake. And I'll probably use it on the TN River for some short solo cruises. I think I could even live with a R-25 for solo trips and really short trips with my wife, but.......

But, I truly lust for the R-29. It is very close in size to our Albin 27 Aft Cabin which is my all time favorite power boat. The A27 didn't have an enclosed saloon area; we had a canvas enclosure running from the pilot house to the aft end of the aft cabin. Not nearly as good a solution as the R-29 which also has a cockpit and transom entry. And the door from the helm to the deck is a real plus.

Happy sailing.

Denny,
Are you bringing it to the NW rendezvous in September? You could be party headquarter. Congratulations!

It's getting close Denny, Nice seeing you and your bride today!

We are taking dekivery of our new R-29 on Tuesday, June 23rd (only three more days). She is beautiful with the same name (OPTIMIST) and color (Medium blue) as our R-25. On Tuesdeay we drive our R-25 to Everett and after our orientation by Andrew, we will drive our new R-29 back to Port Ludlow. Hope to see some of you on the water this season. Next Tuesday will be a very special day fpr Kate and me! Denny

Denny:

I saw your boat in the making when out at the Monroe factory a week back. I must say it did look handsome. I looked at it from the stern end while standing on a high platform with the Monroe plant manager Howard Gearheart who pointed out all the various details of the R-29. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and efficient looking production setup for moving the R-29 between assembly phases. Your lighter blue hull was a 'special', so I was told, as the new production blue is a bit darker. I also like the better contrast of the darker beige/brown looking wood planking accent compared to the earlier production models. The extra beam width of the R-29 compared to the R-25 is certainly seen and felt. The forward stateroom looks extremely luxurious.

Geeeesh, and it can be towed about (on land that is 😉 )

Congratulations. 🙂

It seems to me as a newcomer that there is a quite a crowd of Ranger Tug owners in the Seattle PNW area and the odds of seeing each other on the water is or will be quite high. If all goes well for me I'll have our R-25 in the water at Port of Edmonds come mid July. 🙂

congrats!! i just hopped on a 29 at the bay harbor boat show in Petoskey, MI. I was very impressed. The exterior access point at the helm is great. Lots of headroom too. Enjoy!

Well we have her! We picked up our new 29 on June 23 at Everett and after a good briefing from Andrew drove her back to Port Ludlow and parked her in the same slip we have had for a decade - C-1! After some frustrating time in diaagnosing why the battery charger would not work, we replaced the circuit breaker and all was well again. Come by and see her if your in the area! She is quite a boat and we live having her here!

Wow congratulations in the spring our family is thinking of purchasing one. Happy sailing too you 😀

John

Denny,
Are you bringing her to the PNW Rendezvous on September 11?

Congrats Denny. We have a new 29 on order for delivery in November, the factory will be storing for us to pick up in the Spring 2010.
We live in Canada Quadra Island around the corner from Desolation Sound, wondering if there is any other Ranger Tugs up in our area.

Jens,
Congratulations on your purchase! My wife and I take delivery of Karma, our R-29 in mid November. We are moving up from the R-25 also.

There are a couple of Ranger Tugs in BC. One in Victoria and one in Gibson for sure. You are located in the place the rest of us want to be!

My wife and I live in Henderson Nevada but will be berthing Karma in Port Orchard Washington.

This year we held the first annual Ranger Tug Owner Rendezvous in Bremerton Washington. We had 32 vessels in attendance. Next years Rendezvous will be held in the same location. The dates will be September 10, 11, and 12. If you can make it, we would love to have you!

Again, congratulations on your purchase!
