Was down at the boat getting it ready for a haul out tomorrow and I was surprised to find another R25 just a slip or two away from my slip. It was Elmer(sp?) and Pat, owners of a new R25 MY2008 (purchased 4 weeks ago with a full 90-day warranty on bow to stern). It was previously owned by a dealer on the East coast somewhere. Ranger Tugs did a great job in refurbishing it for Elmer and Pat, and it looked pristine with all new windows, new Polar Bear fur lining, chrome cleaned and sparkling and it was equipped with A/C along with a 5th battery. The boat really looked new to me, which speaks volumes for Ranger Tugs `refurbishing crew'. The cabin door had a pull down screen (nice touch). I caught Elmer sitting and reading through tons of manuals to better understand the boat's operation. Pat was very alert and peppered me with questions about the R25. Elmer told me he owned the R21 years ago before the company evolved into Ranger Tugs.

Meeting them was a great surprise and hopefully they will find this RT forum and join in with the various RT cruises in the making this year.

Wow, it sounds like they got a terrific refit on the boat and its a perfect time in the northwest to enjoy it. We look forward to hearing how they enjoy their new boat.

Can anyone comment on a pull down screen door (make and model) and where to obtain it for an R25? They're not so each to find, especially in the narrow dimension needed to fit the doorway.

We are also looking for anyone with info on a screen door they would recommend. Anyone have any recommendation?

I will ask Elmer about the pull down cabin door screen. Maybe it has a brand name and SKU # on it somewhere. I'll post back later... I actually ran into Elmer today at the dock... but before reading the last few posts in this thread... 😉

Home Depot
I can't remember if we had to have it cut or not.
