New R41 Optional Equipment Announcement

Ranger Tugs is pleased to announce an innovative Automatic Stern Line TiE DEployment (ASLTEDE) system for the flagship R41 model. Developed in partnership with the highly respected Kongsberg USA Marine Group, this optional item will be available immediately on all R41’s under construction and can be retro fitted to R41’s previously delivered to customers.

The ASLTEDE system embodies the simplicity, ease of use and efficiency that owners have come to expect from Ranger Tugs.
Stern tie line deployment is now as easy as using side thrusters to dock:
1. Load the ASLTEDE
2. Aim at any suitable large tree on shore
3. Put on hearing protection and pull the ASLTEDE device trigger

Thanks for your question!

While the ASLTEDE system may look heavy, thanks to the extensive use of titanium and upsidasium alloys in the frame, the total weight of ASLTEDE is under 100 kg. This might be enough to correct the RT-27 list if properly positioned in the cockpit. Please contact our engineering department for specifics.
