New Ranger 21ec owner

Hi everyone. Just purchased a 2009 Ranger 21ec!! We’ve owned sailboats over the last 15 years but this is our first purely power boat. We are very excited and interested in any tips and general info about our new vessel that we can learn from this forum. We are keeping her in the water at Huntington Harbour Marina for the first few months until a slip becomes available at Alamitos Bay Marina in Long Beach California. I have seen 2 other Ranger 21’s in Alamitos Bay, one named Little Kahuna...if the owners of either of those are members of this site I’d love to know if you’ve taken yours to Catalina. It seems that 29 miles of open ocean would not be advisable on a Ranger 21 but I don’t know. We will be Bay cruising only while we are learning about our new boat!

If you search here, and on the Facebook Tugnuts group, you will see where several folks have made the trip to Catalina Island in their 21's.

Great boat. You will get heaps of enjoyment from it. For tips search through Tugnuts under 21 or 21EC and you will find 100s of tips on every imaginable aspect on using, servicing, repairing, modifying etc your 21EC. The search is well worth the effort. Enjoy.
