My next acquisition for my 2010 R25 will be a inflatable tender and Weaver Davit System.

I have a 3 foot extended swim-grid standing 8 inches above the water and has three bumpers on the trailing edge.

I think I need to have "6 inch extended davit to clear those bumpers.

Would a "straight" six inch extended Weaver swim-grid attachment be suitable for my boat?

If installing the Weaver davit system, pay attention to the part of the bracket that stays with the inflatable. There are bolts with nuts that are on the stems that pass thru the rubber inflatable mounts that act like a retainer or cotter pin. make sure you use nylock nuts and check them for tightness when your inflatable is unhooked and in the water. We lost two bolts in high seas which caused the bracket to come off the inflatable which resulted in having a sea anchor instead of a dinghy. I had to go out on the platform to lift it out of the water and lash it to the rail to prevent damage to the boat and or loss of the inflatable. Ours may have been a rare occurance but an ounce of prevention may prevent sea water up to your waist later.

Along the same lines here.

We have a new inflatable and use the Weaver Davits and Weaver Leaver to support the outboard.

Coming back from vacation last week, we noticed that there was a lot of bobbing up and down at the bow of the inflatable. Is this normal? Have others who use the Weaver Davits noticed this movement? I also noticed that the bracket forward on the inflatable showed the nuts facing up instead of down. Does that matter?
