I recently visited with the Admiral and her First Mate on the Nellie TOO in Anacortes WA.
Boots and I were in Seattle for an Alaskan Cruise [I had promised before we bought our R-27]. Bob had invited us to visit and cruise with them on their lovely R-29 "Nellie Too" and being one who never passes up a chance to see how experienced Ranger owners "do it", we accepted their gracious invitation.
After a gorgeous road trip from downtown Seattle to Anacortes, we met two of the nicest people I have ever met in my 60+ years and they are not from the SOUTH. Once we hit the doorstep they could not do enough for us. As it turns out Nita and Boots are both retired teachers, so they had their own topics to handle for the rest of the time we were there.
We spent a lovely day cruising in the PNW and we were amazed to cruise and see snow covered mountains in every direction. And the WATER DEPTH, I looked at the chart plotter and could not believe all that water under us. Remember i am from Florida and the ICW and Gulf does not go that DEEP.
Bob is an encyclopedia on Ranger Tugs and Seattle and Boeing and Anacortes.
All of you PNW Tugnuts already know these lovely gracious people and you are Blessed to have them in your community. Should they ever want to MOVE South we will let them in in a heartbeat.
Bob and Nita are welcome in our home ANYTIME and we will be proud to have them.
Again, we made Memories that will last .....
