I recently visited with the Admiral and her First Mate on the Nellie TOO in Anacortes WA.
Boots and I were in Seattle for an Alaskan Cruise [I had promised before we bought our R-27]. Bob had invited us to visit and cruise with them on their lovely R-29 "Nellie Too" and being one who never passes up a chance to see how experienced Ranger owners "do it", we accepted their gracious invitation.

After a gorgeous road trip from downtown Seattle to Anacortes, we met two of the nicest people I have ever met in my 60+ years and they are not from the SOUTH. Once we hit the doorstep they could not do enough for us. As it turns out Nita and Boots are both retired teachers, so they had their own topics to handle for the rest of the time we were there.

We spent a lovely day cruising in the PNW and we were amazed to cruise and see snow covered mountains in every direction. And the WATER DEPTH, I looked at the chart plotter and could not believe all that water under us. Remember i am from Florida and the ICW and Gulf does not go that DEEP.

Bob is an encyclopedia on Ranger Tugs and Seattle and Boeing and Anacortes.

All of you PNW Tugnuts already know these lovely gracious people and you are Blessed to have them in your community. Should they ever want to MOVE South we will let them in in a heartbeat.

Bob and Nita are welcome in our home ANYTIME and we will be proud to have them.

Again, we made Memories that will last .....

Yes, Bob and Nita are wonderful people who exemplify kindness and hospitality!

Many of us have been recipients of their goodness 🙂

We totally agree with this thread!!! Bob and Nita are two of the best things about owning a Ranger Tug!!!! They are among the many blessings that have come our way since joining this wonderful group!!!

Yvonne and I completely concur. Bob and Nellie are special but are also exemplars of those we meet boating, especially Rangering!

The list is long, all the things that Bob and Nita have done for the crew of Willies Tug. We met them first when they invited us to their home in Bothel. We were up in our motorhome and boatless in Seattle. They offered to let us ride in their boat to the Bremerton Rally. A smooth move for Ranger Tugs as that is when we purchased our 27. Bob and Nita have welcomed us (and Jake) into their new home in Anacortes and insisted that we stay with them for a week as we had work done on Willies Tug last summer. Their hosting of the Fisherman's Terminal Rally was over the top. They drove back and forth meeting boaters to assist them through the locks. They spent countless time and money gathering prizes and making sure that everyone had a great time. We met them for dinner on their boat in Friday Harbor last week while our daughter was visiting. While there Bob and Nita gave several interested people tours of their boat. All the while being gracious dinner hosts. I think Ranger Tugs should appoint Bob and Nita Special Ambassadors, as they certainly are an asset to the Ranger Tug community.

A great big THANK YOU from Herb, Willie and Jake.

Nita and I are totally overwhelmed by the very generous comments and somewhat embarrased by them. Everyone we have met through the Ranger foundation deserves at least the same praise if not better. People in this group are overwhelming helpful and we consider them very special friends. Lets move on.

Thank you,

Bob and Nita

Can't move on just yet!!

Kathy and I couldn't agree more with the group, we are all lucky to be able to call them TugNuts & friends.

Bob has told us that family members will be relocating to Fl. in the foreseeable future. They will be within 3 miles of us on the trip into Fl. so we have EXTENDED an invitation to allow us to show real Southern Hospitality.

And if we can hijack them we will take them to Apalachicola for a cruise on "Little tug Boots" and a gourmet Southern Dinner prepared by that gourmet crew Marc at Wefing's and Dominic the Louisiana Firebrand. (haven't told Marc yet but he will cook at the drop of a hat, he's just that good)
