Does anyone know where the NMEA 2000 is located on a 2021 ranger tug 29s?
I suspect what the original poster is looking for is the location of the NMEA 2000 backbone on his boat. On my 2012 R27, it is located behind the refrigerator, an extremely poor place for access because the refrigerator must be removed to get to it. Where it is on an R29, I have no clue.Could you say more about why you're asking or what problem you're solving?
I ask because NMEA 2000 isn't a singular item, it's a messaging protocol which allows for networking of compatible devices to communicate with each other.
Look at the back of your Garmin MFD and you'll likely see black wires connected via couplings to the Garmin and to other devices. If you Google images of what NMEA 2K wiring looks like you'll see examples.
