How do I know what NMEA 2000 alarm alerts are connected to my Garmin 7612 XSV on my 2017 Ranger 29S?
How do I test the alarms?
These alarms are for things like low voltage, water in fuel, over temperature, etc.
If I disconnect the wire at fuel filter, should it trigger “water in fuel” alarm? It does not do that, yet I think it did in the past.

Hello there,

I would first verify that the Garmin is seeing the Volvo Penta on your NMEA backbone device list. If that is there, any and all engine data should transfer over to the Garmin.

I can't say I've disconnected the filter just to see if it would trigger an alarm.

We do have a Garmin 101 webinar we did that's posted on our Ranger Tugs website that might help with some basic Garmin questions. Here is a link from the website, https://www.rangertugs.com/ownership-ex ... e-webinar/
