My backbone starts under the flybridge dash, then is connected by cable to a multiple T section on the starboard hull under the cabin dash (accessed through the forward cabin cabinet). I can see that this section is connected by cable to another section aft of that — BUT WHERE? Any guidance on locating and accessing this mystery section will be much appreciated. I believe I need to reroute my VHF drop cable to fix lost GPS connectivity.

Hi Jlow,

That part of the backbone should be located on the side of the liner between the helm seat and hull, under the throttle quadrant. It has moved slightly over the years, so can't tell you exactly where yours would be but it is in that general area. You should be able to see it by following the cabling aft inside the v-berth cabinet that you mentioned, but let us know if you have a hard time finding it so we can help track it down for you.

BTW, not sure what you are experiencing, but the VHF cable does not have any effect on GPS function. Hope I didn't misunderstand.

Cheers,

Ralf
