I have 2015 31cb that has recently lost its connection between the Garmin 200 VHF and the chart plotter and between the VHF and the command bridge Garmin 10 handheld. It’s possible I screwed something up wiring a backup camera, but to diagnose, I need to understand the NMEA connection layout/location. Can anyone give me some guidance how this was installed? (I do see linked T-connectors under the flybridge — is that all of them?)

There should be a series of T connectors under the main helm too, accessed from the bottom left cupboard while in the berth (on the starboard side of the boat)

Thanks! I’ll start exploring tomorrow.

Did you extended the bus by adding a new "drop" / T-Connector?

Make sure that there are terminators on both ends.

You can extend the network quite a distance, but make sure that any device on a drop uses the shortest cable run possible.

You will find some useful info at the link below. Hopefully you won't have to go to all the extremes discussed.

Good luck!

Usually the last thing you did is the culprit, so look there. Did you put termination caps on at each end? If not this can screw things up.

Just in case it helps, I had this issue and figured it out. My thread is here: http://www.tugnuts.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=20433&p=133856

The root cause for me was that a Volvo service tech installed an engine software update during my recent oil change. The engine firmware update quietly disabled the NMEA2K gateway on the Volvo Easy Connect Interface device, which sends the engine details to the NMEA2K network where Garmin can see it.

The solution required me to download the Volvo Easy Connect app onto my phone and connect to the device, then re-activate the "NMEA2000 Gateway" under the Settings menu. Looks like everything is back to normal. The hardest part was finding the magic bluetooth code on the label of the device, which required me to take a picture of it, and it is in a difficult to reach location. Quite a journey, but I know my boat more intimately now 🙂 Hope this helps.
