No depth value on chart plotter display

I’ve been trying to figure out why I’m not getting a readout of my depth on my Garmin gps display. Transducer seems to be firmly attached, I checked sonar unit today - it’s getting power, power light indicates it’s on and functioning - transducer plug is connected properly, and NMEA 2k plug from the sonar unit into the GPS map chart plotter is solid as well. However, it looks like I’m getting some kind of input from the transducer onto my sonar screen on the chart plotter but no actual depth reading. (see attached picture). Anyone have any ideas??

NMEA2k transducers will only show depth, it will not give you a fish-finding/sonar display.

You are trying to see the bottom or fish, yes?

Check the fluid level in your transducer cup. There have been a number of posts about fluid leaking out - either because of a missing o-ring or through a defect in the seal between the cup and the hull. Your picture is what my screen looked like before I refilled the the fluid in the cup.
