Noisy water pump

I'm adding an update to this thread, as we were having "pump" issues when we were at 1/2 tank or less. We were unable to pump out the last 15gal from the tank.

The RT techs, came to our slip location and pulled the pickup tube, and after "notching" both sides of the pickup tube angle cut and re-installing, we've had much improved water pump performance (no more cavitation at 1/2 tank or less and can pump out "all" the water)

Bonus: the pump runs "a bit quieter" now.

I'd still like to add an accumulator tank, as there are oscillation cycles for cold water only, that are gone when its hot water only ('cuz there's a tank). Project for another day!

Yesterday we added an accumulator tank (listed below) to out 2022 R27OB beneath the cabinet floor in same area as fresh water pump.

Took the outlet side hose off the water pump barb fitting and used accumulator tank barb fitting w/hose clamp to attach to accumulator tank. Then used (aprox) 18" of reinforced 1/2 ID nylon hose to attach other side of accumulator tank to outlet side of water pump. The accumulator tank is now in-line between the outlet side of fresh water pump and the main water supply line via 2-pcs 1/2 reinforced hose.

ACE hardware sells 1/2 reinforced hose by the foot ( i bought 2 feet then trimmed down for nice radiused loop) plus 2 additional hose clamps.

results;

much smoother operation and slightly reduced cycling ( I suppose a larger tank would have helped more) no more pulsing/cycling. Definitely worth the expense/effort.
