What does everyone put on their deck/non-skid surfaces for UV protection and color preservation? I assume wax is a bad idea because it will make the surface slippery. Any ideas appreciated.

I was wondering the same thing just the other day, then ran across this product:
Starbrite Non-Skid Deck Cleaner with PTEF*
http://www.starbrite.com/item/non-skid- ... -with-ptef
Has anyone tried it?

*PTEF is the "trademark-safe" mangled use of the real acronym PTFE, which is PolyTetraFluoroEthylene, which is Teflon.
So, a non-skid deck cleaner that leaves a layer of "teflon" that repels dirt, but is supposedly non-slippery. Hmmm.
Anyone have experience with this?

Aurora Marine and Star Brite each have non-skid deck wax. I have used the Aurora product and it worked well. A bit of a pain to apply but polishes out well and is not slippery. If anyone has used the Star Brite non-skid wax please chime in and let us know how it worked.
