Has anyone found a good solution for a non-slip surface for the table tops (cabin and cockpit). I saw a picture in other forum where it looked like someone had put Raptor decking on their cockpit table. I want something that will keep stuff from slipping off in normal conditions, i.e. the cabin table when the stern digs down getting up to speed and everything slides off the table, and the cockpit table when at anchor and we are trying to squeeze too much stuff onto it and things get pushed/slide off...

I would recommend to put everything away as much as possible. Beyond that, we have some silicone hot pads that serve double duty well as nonslip mats.

Thanks for the suggestion. We do try to stow as much as possible, but the kids inevitably leave drink cans on the table, books, etc. And with the cockpit table as small as it is, it is frequently crammed with stuff... I was thinking about trying to make some type of custom fit cover, similar to a table cloth but with elastic straps underneath, but seems like a lot of hassle...

Those placemats look great, nice idea! As for cockpit table we keep the canvas cover on it but it might work to get a nonslip rug mat and cut to fit? Even better would be edge lips of some sort, but I’d hate to stick some on.

Waffle style rubberized drawer/toolbox liner is available in rolls and colors....cut it to size....works for me.

We also use non skid place mats we have four of them stacked toward the back of the table and place things on it all the time. Easy to access for meals otherwise small things get placed on it all the time.
