My first unit on my 2019 Cutwater C302c died last March. It stopped cooling and I worked with NovaKool tech support who told me that the compressor had a leak. Since dealers couldn't guarantee a fix and the cost was well over half a new fridge, I went with the later. The new unit, installed in April worked fine for a while. Then, one day it froze all the items in the fridge including causing several soda cans to explode. I called the dealer, but, before we could schedule, I turned the setting from 3 to 1 and after two days, I checked the temperature (at setting one) and it was 37° with no major icing. I moved the control back to setting number three to see if it's going to perform normally and it ran with no major icing...until now. It has been at three since April and I again got major icing, albeit, no explosions. I checked the temp. and it was 26 degrees. I'm planning to call Tech Support on Monday, but, thought I'd check if anyone had wildly fluctuating temperature. Note, I have treated it very well keeping the freezer door closed, defrosted and lightly loaded compartment. While these units used to be reasonably priced, they now list for close to $2K, like the price of a large home quality refrigerator.
