I have found an odd electrical connection on my new to me Yanmar 110. It is located on the upper rear starboard side of the engine. I know for sure it is not the water sensor for the fuel filter and I am pretty sure it does not go to the heater (glow plug). There is no obvious place that it plugs into and my multi meter showed no resistance.

Anyone recognize this?

I cannot answer your question, but I can say I have the same wire and it is not connected either. It was folded back on itself, so I didn't notice it until your post. Have you figured it out yet?

Thanks for reply. I looked at a parts diagram and the stray connector may be sensor for a sail drive unit. I was thinking something was amiss but now I supect it is Yanmar accommodating all of the drive options.
