Can anyone tell me if an R27 on a Float On trailer will fit thru an 11'10" high door opening?
Thanks.

This may help. I slipped my R25 on a Float On trailer in to my barn with a 12' door. I had to drop the mast further down than it was when it rested on the supports. I cushioned the dome against the deck. I had about 2" to spare. Kit

Tugalug, yes...

My R25 with old style mast (side folding) is slightly over 12 feet with a Easy Off trailor.

You can check with Andrew but I think it is right at 12 feet. Our boat is in North Carolina or I would measure it.

Thanks for the input. Looks like I may have to let some air out of the tires to make it fit.

Parial removal of mast is not hard. With the side folding model all you need to do is remove the 2 nuts and slide the two large lower "hinge" portions apart. The main portion of the mast then can be lowered onto the top of cabin. This would not work for transport over the highway but it should be OK for backing into a building. It should add a significant amount of clearance to the overhead but I have not measured the added clearance. I would just use a old blanket or something to cushion the mast. The wiring would stay attached. If someone has the clearance numbers with the mast removed like this please post the info.

I have no knowledge of the newer forward folding design.

Mine is the forward folding version. Which is higher....the mast folded or the "smokestack"?

Well, it cleared the 11'10" opening with about 4" to spare. Good info for future R 27 owners.

I would not entirely trust the height listed on the website. The boats of a given model and same mast design will be near identical but trailers are not all rigged the same. The Bunk supports are adjustable and can affect actual height. I measured mine previously and it was slightly > 12 feet. I have the older "side folding mast" I think the newer forward folding mast may provide extra clearance.

I was backing uphill a bit as I approached the OH door opening and as a result, the trailer tongue was closer to the ground at the door opening than it would be on a level surface. I gained a little extra clearance that I wouldn't have if the driveway approach and the garage floor were both on the same level plane or if the driveway was a down slope.
