Oil change- no more gooey hands

After years of groveling and getting oil all over the bilge, engine, cockpit and me, I finally bought a hand pump extractor (2.5 gallons) from harbor Freight for about 60.00 After discount. Worked great-no fuss no oil spill. Just a heads up to others who have issues with this task. Took maybe 20 minutes with minimal oversight and only slightly warmed oil (small electric heater). The only issue is their supplied tube needs to be extended. Found a clear flex tube that fit tight over their supplied tube that still fit in dip stick tube.

Now if there was some way to get that oil filter out without a mess!

When the filter is a canister like on a vehicle I use a center punch to create a hole in the bottom to drain the oil out.
