As a relatively new owner of a 2008 R25 I have lots of questions, and a lot of things to learn before Lil Toot hits the water next spring here in the Atlantic Coast of Canada. My question of the day: is there any problem starting the engine on the trailer home in my driveway to warm the engine oil up for a more effecient oil change. I am not sure if a brief running of the engine is an issue so long as engine temp is kept well within proper range. I am wondering if this detremintal to the impeller or anything else. I did run the engine on the hard last fall to winterize it, but shut it off as soon as antifreeze came out the exhaust.
Lil Toot sits patiently in our driveway shrinkwrapped and decked out in Christmas lights waiting for next spring. Unfortunately her new owners are not as patient, but we are trying to learn as much as we can over the winter.
Any comments or suggestions on oil changes will be greatly appreciated!
