What is the best oils to use on the teak inside the cabin of my R25 SC? How do you keep the oil off of the white fabric covering? Thanks, Andy Geiser.

Andy, for the teak inside our R25 classic I use a product by Pledge - Revitalizing Oil with Natural Orange Oil. Have used it since we purchased Just Dreamin' and find it does an excellent job.

We've used Daly's SeaFin Teak Oil on all three of our boats. We apply two coats when new, and touch up every year or two. We mask everything off first, apply, wait and wipe off, repeat. It does a great job - the wood is richer, stain resistant, and doesn't reflect light.

Cheers,

Bruce

We have used both products mentioned above, I prefer the Pledge product though. easier to apply and nice smell. In the spots where you are concerned about getting it on the fur, I just spray a little on a rag and wipe it on being careful not to let it get on the fur or adjacent surfaces.

I've also use the Pledge Revitalize Oil and feel it does a great job. I apply the oil by directly spraying on a rag and then rubbing onto the wood thereby avoiding spraying directly or indirectly onto any of the monkey fur or anything else. One note of caution, take your lamp shades off, I didn't one time and found that if the shades get even a small drop of the oil on them it spreads like a wildfire.

Watco Teak Oil, rub on and wipe off.
