On new boats, is the price the price?

I went to my local boat show and I got to see my first OB R27.
I am in love with everything but the price.
I have owned 6 boats, and this is by far the most expensive I have ever considered purchasing.
A little difficult for me get over that 200K plus price tag though.
Is there any negotiating on these boats from the dealer, or is what is posted the price?

It depends on the dealer. My dealer gave me a break, I know others that the list price is the price, period.

Ask for a price break, it can't hurt to ask. Even if you don't get one, Ranger Tugs hold their value very well.

Call RT Kent office and talk with Andrew Custis as I've traded in my 2018 R27/OB. You should get a decent price. My trade in R27/OB is in pristine condition and has few extras with it; Full cockpit enclosure, flow meter to measure raw water input to the electric head, AIS 600, full factory applied professional bottom paint which is a mere 18 months old and a full factory fender/lines, Fire Extinguishers etc. Engine hours were at around 60 as I recall.

Many of the ones used as a demonstrator at the boat shows have a "boat show" discount and you can negotiate. Might even save on shipping if that would apply to your purchase. That is how we bought ours. We went to a show with the intention of putting down a down payment and getting in the production line for a 3-4 month wait. Instead the one at the show is just what we had decided upon.

So if they happen to have one at the show that is just what you wanted it may be worth a try.

Baz trade in with only 60 hours would be worth a serious look as well.

Hi Blair,

My R-27 OB is listed in the Ranger for Sale forum. It is newer than the used one Ranger has and listed at a lower price. Not to mention, Andrew is a tough negotiator!

Thank you for everyone's input.
Good looking pre owned boats too.
I am in the process of getting my sailboat ready to sell, and will then seriously start searching for my next boat.
