Onan Cummins 5kw gen set.. no zinc??

My Onan Cummins 5kw starts and runs well on my new to me 2013 31cb.
I just ordered the usual maintenance items on the Cummins website, which was actually a very good experience.
My question please... I am surprised that there is no zinc pencil designed into the engine.
Is that true? Seems counter to what (little, but learning) I know about a salt water environment and metal things on boat.

The new Volvo Pentas (at least D4 since about 2016) don't have engine zincs either.

Not sure if it is different material science, different designs, or just cost cutting by manufacturers, but I guess I'm sadly not surprised by the lack of them

You are correct. There are no zincs in the Onan 5KW genset.
