Onan Generator Oil Drain Valve

This might be far reaching, but I thought it might be worth a try......

There is a ball valve on our Onan 5 kW Generator, oil pan. It has threads on the inside and I would like to put a barb fitting in it to make draining the oil a bit easier. Would anyone know the size and thread type? My parts manual indicates it is part number 504-0206.

Right now, the hose is held against the valve when draining the oil. If I had a fitting, it would be much cleaner and easier.

I use a pump to suck the hot oil up the dipstick tube directly into an empty jug - no mess.
