Subject: Onboard's TV use with Apple's ATV4 and a MacBook Pro
At my home office I setup as follows TV <-HDMI-> ATV4 <--> ethernet <--> MacBook Pro (Wi-Fi was OFF).
The ethernet IPs were self assigned and AirPlay was operational.
I just knew that it should work. 😉
So now so long as the onboard's TV has an HDMI port (and I've been told it does) I should be able to use Apple's AirPlay feature to display anything on my laptop to the TV....
At my marina which provides a Wi-Fi hotspot I can enable Wi-Fi on the MacBook Pro and have internet access as well. 😎 😀
If I also connect my iPhone to the marina's Wi-Fi I can use the iPhones AirPlay to the TV as well. 😀
