Subject: One cannot have 4 at dinette table when underway on R-27/OB
This is a feature I was curious about but had forgotten about...
With the seating arrangement in the cabin 4 people do not have the opportunity to sit at the dinette table when the helm seat is being used in its forward position to seat the Captain. This is unlike we had on our previous R-25. I don't see this as a big deal and highlights the real benefit of the R-27/OB having the larger V-berth area serve as a forward saloon with its raised table arrangement that CAN seat 4 people in comfort when underway.
I guess the alternative if there's a requirement for having 4 people seating at the cabin's dinette table while underway one could operate the boat from the Nav seat using the remote autopilot on long uncluttered boat scenarios. Plus, I believe there's standing room at the helm with the helm seat rotated to provide the extra 2 seat for the dinette area.
Just a musing I thought useful to post about... 🙂
