Can anyone tell me the details for purchasing a replacement ladder for the side of the cabin on my Ranger R25? It'sthe little two step ladder that mounts on keyhole slots on the cabin wall. A buddy accidentally knocked it overboard and it is now 160 ft deeper than I like to swim. I assume these are standard equipment, but if not, I will try to figure out how to post a picture of what I am talking about.

When I owned our R-25 (Classic) I was alway a bit concerned about losing that chromed step overboard. What a did was to attach a small diameter white line to it and secured the other end to the railing on top of the cabin. The only issue with this if I recall is that the step ladder also can be used on both sides of the cabin so there's the occasional need to remove the line to switch sides.

The BBQ guy looks as if he's tall enough not to need the ladder.... so it's not surprising he dropped it into the drink. :lol:
One of the nice things with the new 2018 R-27 (an R-23) is that the height from the gunnel surface to the cabin roof in line with the cross bars is a lot less. For me I can stand on the gunnel surface and easily reach up and over the cabin roof to get at things. For the R-25 (Classic) and R-27 (Classic) the ladder was necessary for shorties. 😉
I'm pleased RT has done away with the ladder these days as it's just more chrome to maintain. As an aside, the new 2018 R-27 has no railing around the cockpit's gunnels, and that is also fine with me as that also means less maintenance of chrome railing and nothing to get in the way when fishing and crabbing from the cockpit area.
