It is time to register for Opening Day of Boating 2010. Opening Day in Seattle goes back over 100 years and is organized by the Seattle Yacht Club. The theme this year is "Out of this world". This should make for some fun decorations. We are registered for the parade on Saturday May 1st although there is a whole week of fun activities. You do not need to register with the Seattle Yacht Club. We have already registered Ranger Tugs for the parade. We currently have a total of 12 slots. For those that would like to join us in the parade please respond to this post. If you would like moorage for the day, the weekend or for all week registration ends on April 2nd. This is a fun way to be a part of many of the opening day activities. For more information on Opening Day including registering for moorage go to http://www.seattleyachtclub.org/Def...491&ssid=166302&vnf=1#ParadeEntryRegistration We won a trophy last year for "Best Decorated" in our class so lets get out and have some fun and win again!

This sounds like alot of fun. Sandi and I figure that Shared Dream will have been in the water for 1 week by this time. What better way to celebrate!

Congratulations on your new R-29 Shared Dream! You will enjoy this boat as we have.

Just a thought - is there a theme that Ranger Tug is going to use that the participating boats can also use? I was thinking that the other boats can carry the same theme to enhance the factory boats.

Bob and I are interested in participating but I'm clueless about coming up with ideas for the theme. I had many ideas last year.... this year is another story.

We did opening day last year and had a nice time. It is quite something to be IN the parade of boats and see all the spectators and the other entries. Boaters really know how to have a good time and the Canadians know how to party!

We'd like to participate in the parade, however, decorating is a challenge. Any ideas for decorating? Is it necessary? Where do we gather?

I will get back to you next week with some decorating ideas. John Livingston is the creative behind this.

It will be a lot of fun!

I just talked to Dave Livingston and he said they are not going to participate in opening day, May 1. They are swamped.
