I am the new owner of a 2013 R-27 with a macerator. 2 questions.
1. On Inland waters, what is the best way to cover the exit port if the Coasties check it for not dumping waste into the lake?
2. How do you activate the macerator to empty the black tank?
Thanks,
Ken

There should be a valve somewhere by the macerator that shuts off the ability to pump overboard. The Coast Guard will want to see that shut off, and zip tied closed (if you can with your valve). In my boat I can’t zip tie it, so we keep the tool to open the valve put away elsewhere on the boat and that suffices.

As for actually pumping overboard, you just open the valve and hit the switch, then close it back up when you are done.

I also suggest after pumping overboard, run plenty of water into the holding tank and pump again to flush the line.

The only valve I see is In engine room at midships/Stern and I believe it is for opening the black tank to pump out at a Marina, correct?
Also where is the switch to turn on the macerator?

Open the engine hatch and looking at the stern wall of the compartment you should see something like this:

Ignore the pump with the reddish fluid in the top part of the picture. That is the washdown pump filled with anti-freeze. Look at the lower half of the picture from left to right: exit fitting from the holding tank leads to the black Y valve. The gray Y-Valve handle is in the macerator to overboard position. You can just make out the macerator pump on the lower right. Pulling the gray handle up will put the Y-Valve in the pump out position - this is where you want to have it zip tied through the little hole sticking out on the handle. HTH, GF
